Desar Sulejmani

Desar, currently giving the 88 keys a hard tango time, was borne in Shkodra, Albany, and started his studies from 1998 to 2008 in the famous Folkwang Universität der Künste, in the german city of Essen, with Piano, (Prof. Till Engel), Chamber music (Prof. Andreas Reiner) and Conducting (Prof. David de Villiers). As a soloist from the strings orchestra „The Young Talented Of Tirana“ he toured through France, Belgium, Hungary and Italy fromm 1995 to 1997. In 1996 he recorded his first CD with the piano concert A-major, KV 414 by W. A. Mozart in the recording studios of Radio Vatican.

From 2009 to 2012 he worked in the artistic ensemble of the Musiktheater im Revier, the opera house in Gelsenkirchen. Since June 2012 he is artistic director and conductor of the Kölner-Orchester-Gesellschaft. Since october 2012 he conducts the Essener-Konzertchor and since february 2013 the Symphonische-Blasorchester-Essen.

The tenor was borne in Buenos Aires / Argentine and discovered his love for tango as a resident in Germany. Living abroad appears to have been a preliminary requirement to let his old cultural roots flourish anew.

After experiencing how his adolescence was somberly tainted by the dictatorship of the military regime, he travells to Europe and works in many different countries. The aim to lead a fair existence encourages him to start commercial apprenticeships in Kühne und Nagel, Bielefeld, and with Nixdorf Computer in Paderborn.

Studies opera singing at the Musikhochschule in Cologne (Prof. Moser, Prof. Sotin), tenor at different opera houses (26 roles), working artistically as musician and moderator.

Pedro lives in Essen and has two children who resemble tango, because they nourish the essential.
